The best of both worlds collide under one roof. Who can ask for more? I walked up to the Showbox on a Saturday night and strolled right on in, pulled by one of Christopher Lawrences build ups. He already had the crowd dancing with their hands high in the air screaming for more. Roaming around the night wasn't difficult. I was able to order my water and red bulls with no lines. Getting in and out of the 18+ or 21+ area was no problem. Lots of familiar faces there, even ones I haven't seen in awhile. Dan finished off the night with a set of some funky stuff we haven't heard before and some we had. He didn't seem to have a hold of the crowd the same way Christopher Lawrence did, but all around a great set and sound. Some would never expect things like this to happen where we have a single room event with two genres of music. I must say I had a great time hearing the variety of music and from the crowd response I think they did too.
