A Celebration of Black History event, this year examining the impact of the census on African-Americans and all people, also taking a historical look at the “connected” relationship between the African American and Jewish communities, and “Calling to Conscience” health and wellness issues that disproportionately impact African-American communities.
What is Black History Month?
Black History Month is an annual observance in February, celebrating
the past and present achievements of African Americans.
What is “Call to Conscience 2010”?
- Creating awareness by focusing on community based service organizations and education programs.
- Dynamic keynote speakers addressing a variety of civic leadership, community, political, economic and health issues along with power point presentations, exhibits, arts, music, vendor booths and interactive displays.
- “Call” to social action through resources available, locally, regionally and nationally.
- Developing a sense of pride and empowerment in community, advocating healthy living and lifestyles to prolong lives, while reducing adverse health conditions.

Call to Conscience 2010 acknowledges the 2010 Census and raises awareness among African Americans and all people about the impact of the census, what the significance of the data means, and how it can be used.
“Call to Conscience” – The Historical connection between
African
Americans
and the Jewish Community.
This year we will examine the historical aspect of this relationship, from antiquity, through slavery, to the present, and vision what this “ethnic” relationship could or should look to be in the future.
Why is there again a focus on “health”?
Statistics from ALL sources document the disproportionate effects that people of color suffer due to unhealthy life choices, lifestyles, health disparities and life circumstances. MUSICA Entertainment, through “Call to Conscience” is creating awareness and calling for social action among people of color, and ALL people. Call to Conscience 2010, A Celebration of Black History, chronicles the legacy of African Americans from slavery to the Presidency, while impacting healthy lifestyle choices, community building, career choices, economics and education. We are excited about this opportunity through “Call to Conscience to impact the total person and the entire community.
