MUSICA Entertainment is proud to present the 4th annual MUSICA Festival January 17th, 18th, 19th 2008. This three-day event will honor the legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We are proud to lead a campaign that also creates awareness that King County in the state of Washington has officially been renamed and imaged as “ Martin Luther King County ”. Hip Hop is still a voice for social change. Like Dr. King, Hip Hop is controversial. As a world wide phenomenon Hip Hop serves as an outlet for oppressed people all over the world. Through Hip Hop, we seek to honor the legacy of Dr. King by showcasing a social movement for voices who have the courage to speak out and create awareness to the plight of underserved communities.
MUSICA Festival ‘08 celebrates music in the Northwest by bringing together many genres - Hip Hop, R&B, Electronica, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Latin, Gospel and Spoken Word-in an effort to unite communities, create awareness and increased knowledge of issues and use of community resources.
In particular among with youth, we seek to empower students with knowledge to help them improve the circumstances of their communities and increase choices
The 2008 MUSICA Festival is an incredible opportunity to reach many different markets. The projected attendance for this year’s MUSICA Festival is 3,000 to 5,000 attendees over the three-day event, ranging in ages 5-55 and representing a broad demographic range. The MUSICA Festival will reach thousands of people through newspapers, radio, internet and television.
The MUSICA Festival grew from a vision to promote positive music community, private business and City Government relationships.
The MUSICA Festival acts in part as a vehicle to increase visibility and public awareness of the Northwest Hip Hop music communities. It creates the opportunity for collaboration between civic organizations, businesses, and residents to build relationships, develop a sense of unity within the music community, support community non-profit organizations as well as local artists and performers while providing top notch national entertainment to our communities.
The MUSICA Entertainment Festival and Seminars are designed to create a forum for unsigned/signed artists to interact with record industry professionals, create exposure for Northwest performing artists, and provide musical “Hip Hop” and other genres of musical entertainment for Northwest tourists, families and music enthusiasts. Last but definitely not least, this year’s event focuses on empowering the Hip Hop generation about the importance and impact of voting both collectively and individually.
MUSICA gives business, government and advertisers of all kinds the opportunity to connect with one of the largest segments of our population: “The Hip Hop Generation.” Hip Hop has changed music, clothing, language and marketing.
